Waiting (Patiently) for #2?

For you ladies who are waiting to try for your next baby, what are some things you are waiting for? Just curious!

 We are waiting till we move into our next house(bigger house), I want to finish my associates degree( only 2 classes left) and I want to get back to what my starting weight was when I got pregnant with Weston..... oh and I would like him out of diapers lol What are some things you ladies are waiting on?

Moving into a bigger home would be nice.... Mostly, we are just waiting for LO to get bigger. We don't want to have a toddler and a newborn! I also want this weight off before I get pregnant again. We aren't in any rush to add baby #2!

I am waiting for my DH to warm up to the idea of a 2nd.  He wants an only child and pushing it now has just caused arguements.  So hopefully as T gets bigger he will change his mind and we will make him a sibling.

My weight... I want to be at a healthy weight... When I had my first pregnancy I was at a very healthy weight, but after two miscarriages depression took its toll on my weight and I wasn't at my best weight when we conceived DS. I also would like to be stronger. I also don't think I was strong enough with my last pregnancy. I was very weak and I wonder if that is the reason why I had so many issues with my pelvis hips.

We need to move (hopefully accepting an offer on our new house today...yay!).

I need to lose some weight - I've lost my baby weight, but want to lose more.  I want to put myself in the best possible position to have a VBAC next time.

I want MD to be a little older and for her to have a little more time as an only.

(I'm not waiting that patiently though ...I can't wait to be pregnant again!)

Waiting until we are debt free minus the mortgage and my tiny studuent loan I have no interest in paying off.  And I am waiting until LO is more self sufficient.

I guess just waiting to be "ready."  Right now we are having so much fun with V, we don't really have that urge to add another. 

We'd like to give V some more time to be "the baby." 

Like others, I'd also like to have my weight under control (I type this as I just ate a bunch of Combos) and be more fit.  I was in decent shape before I got pregnant, but now I get out of breath too easily. 

I need to concentrate on my career a little bit too before I take another ML. 

Also I'd like to wait until my BIL and his soon-to-be wife (wedding is in September) are ready to have kids.  My sisters have kids, but they are all older than V.  I'd like my kids to have some cousins around their age.  Not that it can be perfectly timed or planned, but I'm hoping our second will come around the time my FSIL has her first.

We are waiting to be "ready". Both of us are sort of unsure about exactly when, but I am hoping we'll both feel ready to TTC again sometime in the next 6 months.

Waiting to want to be preggo again, i had a relatively easy time of it but its not something that i enjoyed.  Also Bell wasnt/isnt the easiest baby so i'd like her to be a little more self sufficient (her being potty trained would be great). 

In the end I guess we need for the parent brain to kick and us to think doing it all again would be fun.

DH and I both want to be in new jobs, a new city and a new house. Hopefully with those changes, we will be able to afford 2 kids in daycare at the same time I'd love to be pregnant again, but I'm not in a hurry to take on more responsibility. I feel like I get so little time with Myles now as it is. Still, I can't wait!

Pretty much for lo to just get bigger and for dh to pass a few more of his actuarial exams.

The only thing we are waiting on is buying a house, which we'll look at in a year. We'd like to get out of debt and finish our degrees (masters for dh, bachelors for me, both just have a year left), but those aren't things that would stop us (me) if we had a house. Right now, we have five people in a 3bdrm apt; its just too much!

Money. DH has a good job but he's in line to become a manager and we need to wait until he does to have a second. I don't want to be pinching pennies and going into debt because we have another child to feed/clothe etc. I work part time and we simply won't be able to live comfortably on our income. Plus, full time daycare at our current facility for two children is around $30,000 a year. Yes, you read that correctly! Oh, and I saw some newborns yesterday at a consignment sale and I also realized I'm not ready for that again at this time.

Well, the diaper thing is one thing, ideally!  Mainly though, we just always anticipated waiting 2-3 years between 1 & 2, no real rhyme or reason other than that's always been our plan.  Financially we could swing it (with some adjustments to our lifestyle), we have the space in our house (though we'd have to do a lot of purging of crap, which we should do anyway), and we're both out of school, in great jobs, etc.  However, unless something unplanned happens, it's just not in our plan for another year or two.  And, I'm a huge planner!!

Well, in our case it's #3, but still...we're waiting.  Both sure we want another, but unsure of the timing.  We love summer babies for several reasons, so I'm sure we'll aim for that again.  Just can't figure out whether to *try* for a summer 2013 or 2014 baby.  Had no issues with spacing the first two 21mon apart, but wondering if we'd be certifiably crazy to do it again from 2-3.  Ugh.  Baby fever hardcore over here, but not sure I'm ready to do it again in all actuality...in my head vs. reality is often rather different...haha.

waiting until July to TTC!  excited.  If I got pregnant right away the kids would be 22 months apart.

We had planned to wait so I would be done with my Masters. We will miss that by about 4-6 weeks... Oh well...

As soon as DH's contract goes through at work, we will move. That could be next week or next year. The contract expired 14 months ago, but anyone who has contracts understands how that crap works. I want DD to be walking and talking and I don't want to pay for 2 kiddos in DC until I have to. So I'd rather have my kids 2-3 years apart instead of 1-2. The money we save on DC is significant the longer we wait.

i am waiting for DH to be readyl.  I would try today  if I could  - but I know he is right and we want DD to have a little more time by herself.  So now I will say - I am waiting until DD is 1

Not 100% sure if well have a third or not. We're both on the fence. Waiting on ds to get a bit older, get some debt paid off (hopefully a lot of it), would like a bigger house but ours is worth less than we owe on it so were stuck, would like dh to have a better paying job so I can stay home and possibly take classes as well. If we have another, I'm sure we'll have to compromise on some of that not happening though.

We are waiting until about 9 month to a year after I finish breastfeeding. I have read a few articles on how you have all these vitamin stores in your system that you give to your first born and how it is important to build those stores up for subsequent children. Basically, waiting a year after you finish breastfeeding (or a year after you have a baby if you FF feed I think). During that time between weaning and TTC I plan on running a marathon and dropping (hopefully) 40 pounds. I think one of the posters echoed my other issues was that I need to make my pelvis and hips stronger and hopefully avoid all those issues that I had the first time around.

we are waiting for DH to finish his degree. W'll start trying around August and he'll graduate around May 2013. so it'll be perfect timing!

We're gonna take a long (year long) trip so that will be easier with only one.  That said we will start trying when we are closer to the end of that trip. So whenever that is, is when we'll try. 

How's that for vague.  Who knows if we'll even go?

We're waiting till next February. I really want a November baby so we're hoping we can get lucky the same way we did with Alexis and get pregnant on the first try, if not that's fine too but that's when we want to start.

I'm working at my first career style job so I definitely want to be here for a while before having to go on ML. I've been done with my Bachelor's degrees for 2 years but DH still needs 3 years to finish so we're hoping he can be close to finished by the time we have #2. We also want to be able to get into a house within the next year or so. We are also wanting Alexis to be at least 2 when we have our next baby. Plus we also want to have #2 soon so that once DH finishes his BA I can go back for my MA and have bought little ones be a little older, so that I can work and go to school at the same time and not have to worry about money.

I'm really excited to be pregnant again!
