ok, so DS has never been a great sleeper, but around 8 months he was doing 6 to 8 hours at a time. Then he started getting his top teeth in and it hasn't gone back to the way it was for the past 1 1/2 months! His top 2 were all the way in for over a week now. We noticed he's getting two teeth around his top ones. His sleeping is getting worse. He's gone from 4 hour chunks....to last night every 2 hours! I just pat or rock him or feed him and he goes back to sleep. This seems a little dramatic for teething? He got over his first cold a week ago. He seems healthy and happy when he's awake. It doesn't seem to matter how much I feed him during the day, he's still waking up!!!!! Any ideas, suggestions or possible reasons?
TIA!!!!
Re: possible reason for major sleep regression??
My DD has never been a great sleeper either but about a month ago finally starting sleeping through the night (7 PM - 6:30 AM). Last Wednesday she started waking up at 5:00 AM for some reason.
Then 3 nights ago she woke up at 3:30 AM (first time in a long time) and the only way to calm her was to nurse her. I think she's teething but I don't see any new teeth (she already has 7!) - last night she slept 7 PM - 5:45 AM so I can't be too annoyed but I am blaming any sleeping weirdness on teething.
Hope your LO goes back to sleeping long stretches!
