Shady is my high school and college nickname (two completely separate groups of people started calling me Shady. . . I guess I am a shady gal, and it kinda rhymes with my first name and goes well with my maiden name). Kull is part of my married last name.

My sn "Reyka" means "smoking" in Icelandic.  I don't smoke, lol, but I love Iceland and have been twice in the past 3 years, including a 10-day circumnavigation of the country this past September with our (then) 10-month-old!  I would move there if I could, it's such a beautiful place.

The capital city, Reykjavik, means "Smoky Bay" and was named that way because the steam rising from the geothermal vents surrounding the area looked like smoke to the early Viking settlers.  I always liked that story and I loved seeing the geothermal activity during our trips there, so that's why I picked Reyka as my sn.

And the 9 is my lucky number.  Born on Dec 9, married on May 9, etc.

OK, you definitely win for the best SN!!!  The only thing I know about Iceland is Bjork.

(Though, surprisingly, we only heard her on the radio one time during our entire 10-day drive.  But we heard "Don't Stop Believin'" 3 times, go figure!!)

If you like the sound of Icelandic and like music to chill out to, definitely look into Sigur Ros.  A lot of their songs have Icelandic lyrics but some are just nonsensical chanting, very beautiful and haunting stuff.  Love them.

Peanut is a nickname H calls me. The first part of my last name is pronounced Muse, even though it's spelled differently. Plus, I think "muse" is a cool word. Both the way it sounds and its meaning.

Side note. I was using leapinglissy for TK, which is a name I use that for a lot of other stuff online. "Leaping" because I am a lifelong dancer, and "lissy" because it is a nickname. I decided to pick something else for TB. I wanted to be able to have a SN that's not so obvious for people who know me IRL. I'm sad to not be leapinglissy here because I really identify with that name. I know it's weird, but I use it for so much stuff. Now I've decided that I don't really care too much, so I kind of wish I had stayed with leapinglissy. Oh well.

I was recently married and made the account not thinking that I would ever post on a message board. I've thought of changing it but people keep talking me out of it! 

Add me to that camp!  Although I always say your SN in my head as "Chauncey".  I dunno.  Maybe it's because I had a guinea pig named that?
