No period? God is messing with me???

So as you can see my husband and I had a failed IVF attempt last month. Ever since I can remember, I have had regular periods...to the hour of my 28th day cycle.  Well it is now day 32 and still no period...not even a sign that it is on its way....So I bought a pregnancy test. Trying not to have too much hope, I  took it...NEGITIVE.  That didn't surprise me, though a little disappointing.

 OK, now what?  Wait a few more days and see what happens? I have never had a late period before...This is confusing me.

Were you taking progesterone supps? They can delay your period a few days after you stop taking them...

Nope..I never started them. I did get my period regularly after the failed IVF...this would be the second period since.

Unfortunately it's probably the same old same old....ovulated late or didn't ovulate at all.  And unfortunately the same old same old advice too....take a PG test every week until you hit 60 days.  If you are really concerned and you think it might have something to do with the failed IVF, you could give your RE a call.

 

In the meantime, can we get a voodoo tampon for KStar please??? I feel like we've been getting lots of requests for voodoo tampons lately!

It's normal for your cycle after a failed IVF cycle to be screwed up.   All of the hormones and cysts that are leftover from the cycle - its possible that you either did not ovulate on your own or that your ovuation was delayed. 

I understand how frustrating it is.  My RE recommends that you call when you reach 6 weeks without a period.

GL - I posted a similar problem this morning. Voodoo tampons all around!

FWIW, my RE had me go in today (CD 36) for betas/progesterone so they could put me on provera to get a move on things. Since I'm generally "regular" they didn't make me wait until CD60. Wouldn't hurt to call them, right?

Thats kind of what I was thinking, since I have never had a late or missed period. Im debating which to call...my OB or my RE that we did the fertility treatments with...Hummm decisions decisions...

I am currently 9 days overdue for my period, after clomid and IUI. I went in for an ultrasound today to see if it was a cyst causing it, and there was a smallish one. I was told cysts can hang around secreting hormones for a while, and in some people this can stop your period from showing. If my estrogen level is sinking, they are going to wait another week and hope my period arrives, otherwise they said they might put me on bcp. 

I would call the RE and not the OB. I think the RE's probably see this more and have more experience with it. Good luck!

Thanks! Yes I plan to call tomorrow..Still no Aunt Flow yet.
