How do I bring up NB?

I have an appointment with my OB on Thursday.  This is my 3rd appointment, and I'd like to bring up the NB thing.  My doctor hasn't been one to ask us if we have questions at the end of an appointment.  Granted, if I did ask a question he would be more than happy to answer it.  I'm looking for suggestions.  How did you all bring it up with your OBs?

I would bring it up at the start of an appointment - that way you can chat while he does whatever else needs to happen.

I just plainly stated at my first appointment that it was something I would like to do. I had six different ob's in my practice so I brought it up at every apt. to feel out each doc. We ended up transfering to MW's.

My suggestion is be as open and honest as possible. It doesn't have to feel like the right time.

At my first appt, I flat out said, "No epi, no inducing, no internal exams unless absolutely necessary."

She said, "You're a stronger woman than I am, but...you get to 39w, and we talk (I'm AMA). I think there's an issue, and we're doing an internal. We'll talk you into an epi if you need a C or your blood pressure is too high. Other than that, I'll support you."
