Frozen peaches

Has anyone used frozen peaches as finger foods? I gave some to Ash awhile back and he didn't like them. I think they were too rubbery for him to gum, so I ended up pureeing them. Now that he has some teeth I want to try again. Has anyone successfully given peaches that were previously frozen as a finger food? If so how did you prep them?

Re: Frozen peaches

  • I haven't given frozen ones, but I have given her ones that were canned (in juice).  I gave her the whole peach half or quarter so it was easier for her to pick up.

  • I put a frozen peach in the mess feeder for teething relief.

I've also steamed them, cut them up, and mixed them into oatmeal and yogurt.  They're usually too slippery for DD to pick up.

  • I gave her little cut up pieces the other day. I found a suggestion to dust them with ground up puffs or cheerios. It worked pretty well. She managed to get quite a few pieces in her mouth.

  • I bought some on Sunday but haven't tried them yet.  I think I'm going to cut them in to chunks and dust with ground cheerios to make them easier to pick up.  Those suckers get slippery!!
  • DS will only eat them frozen in the mesh feeder or pureed.  Same with mango.  I like the "dusting" idea though...
