LO has never been a huge fan of bottles, but she has taken them at daycare pretty well the past few months. She started really teething about a week and a half ago and she has been refusing her bottles completely at DC. She's only been taking an ounce or two the entire 9 hours!
I tried sending a sippy cup today and giving her Advil before I drop her off, but that didn't help either. Any advice?? She is taking her purees ok and eating a little bit of table food, but that's it. She is nursing fine. I'm really worried about her.
Also, I've taken to nursing her a couple of times a night when she wakes up because I feel like she needs the fluids. I really don't want to fall into a reverse cycling pattern!!
TIA!

Not 100% sure what you mean... do you think she might be sick? I actually took her to the Dr about a week ago to have her ears checked. She was fine then.
Martin started being really weird and not taking his bottles very well and it turns out he had a double ear infection. I had literally ZERO signs of this beforehand - no fever, no real pulling at ears, etc, just not eating. So you never know.
That being said, teething can commonly have them go on strike with feeding. Does daycare use the milk to mix in with the food? That's what ours does when Martin is being fussy and not drinking. They also allow us to bring the Tylenol/Motrin to them and sign an order for medication that tells them exactly how much they can give and at what intervals, so it's not just first thing in the morning.
Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You don't waste away to nothing when you're sick for a few days and not eating as much, neither will she.
As long as she's still having at least 4-5 wet diapers a day, she's fine.
Thanks for your response. I just have some weird fear that she is going to start rejecting bottles completely.
B did this - try a faster nipple flow; it helps with the teething pain!
That being said, he also did that when he had ear infections - keep an eye out for tugging at ears, not wanting to lay down, etc!
