When did you start travelling for work again?

After you had your little one, when did you start hitting the road (for those with business travel)? I don't want to leave DD at all, but in my line of work, some travel is inevitable. I am looking to move to a new position, but I want to have realistic expectations about when and how much travel I'll be able to handle.

My first trip was at 4 months and then again at 5 months, then at 8 months and 9 months. The first time was really tough for me. I cried, I had to pump all the time, but it wasn't so bad in the end. DH was a rockstar, pumping didn't kill my supply and things were fine. Every trip after that one has been much, much easier.

With DS, I took him with me at 3 months.  I took my first sans-baby trip at 3.5 months.  I traveled a lot - about once per month (25 - 30%) - and BF'd for a year.

9 months for work.  I had to leave him at 5 months to find daycare and a place to live when I was offered a new job (different state), though.

I started travelling 3 wks after returning to work.  I'm BFing and don't have a frozen stash over 1 day's worth, so I reduced my travel by half.  I avoid 5-day trips, for 2-4 day trips I bring LO and a nanny, for 1-day trips I go alone and pump.  I have a friend who found a nanny at her destination.

My first overnight wasn't until D1 was just over a year but I did a couple of daytrips after she was 9 months.

It looks like I'll have to do a daytrip in about a month, so this time around it will be 5 months.

With DD it was ten months with DS it will be much sooner.  In my line of work I am required to travel as needed and the fall is a busy time for me so I expect to start traveling shortly after returning to work at 12 weeks.

With DD1 she was 6.5 months old. I travel every other month for 3-4 days.
