I'm trying to make an attempt to cook and eat at home more often in an effort to be healthier. Anyone have any easy recipes they would like to share?
Mine is salsa chicken-cook in crock pot for 6-8 hours on low.
Put a package of taco seasoning on 1pd. chicken breast in crock pot. Then dump a can of cream of mushroom soup and a jar of salsa and cook.serve with rice and sour cream. Sounds amazing I know But my husband found it online and he loves it! It's not that bad really. We make it in our big crock pot. Tried it in a smaller one and didn't turn out well.
Re: NBR:Easy dinner ideas???
Hmmm, my go-to recipe is actually pretty similar to yours - chicken tortilla soup. Equal parts salsa and chicken broth, 1 or 2 chicken breasts, cooked & shredded, can of corn, can of black beans, sliced up yellow squash if you have it. Heat till it's hot. Serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar, sour cream.
We do homemade pizza a lot too. Nothing fancy, just crust mix that comes in a bag, jar of sauce, cheese & pepperoni. I love using our baking stone for it.
