Any name I see I automatically associate someone I knew or someone's kid I know or something else and feel like the name just not good enough. Its either, too old sounding, too trendy sounding, I have a cousin or friend or some other random person I went to high school with or a name of their dog.
I wish I could just think of a nice name thats not too trendy but not boring or too popular that will be something I love! OK ramble over. =o)
Re: Its so hard to pick a nice name without any associations with it!
Keep looking! You'll find the perfect name soon enough! Your DDs have great names.
And congratulations on your BFP!
This is just why my Hubs and I are NOT telling a soul about our baby's name until she gets here and has been officially named! (Aside from maybe a couple of little input posts from you bumpies. )
Family, friends, EVERYONE has an opinion on EVERY name you bring up...it's very, very overwhelming. But we're all in the same boat around here, as far as making the choice goes!
Good luck!
Thanks! =o)

This. DH and I kept LO's name to ourselves. He did slip in front of one person but she didn't tell anyone. Once we announced her birth and name, no one had anything negative to say.

I agree on all counts! I love Hannah and Natalie! How about something like Bianca for a third girl - it's feminine like your older girls but it's not frou-frou or frilly.
Partly why I still don't have names picked out yet. And my ticker is actually off - I'm due TODAY. We have a looooong list for each gender (team green), but it's freaking hard finding a name that we both don't have an association with! I'm hoping my little man or girl comes out with a name tag on!
This made me LOL!!

I figure that if you like a name, and the association isn't terribly close (like an ex or a cousin) then your LO's name will take over the association.
For example, my niece is Sophia, and when my brother announced it, I could only think of bad associations, but as soon as she was born, she was the only Sophia ever, and all associations were erased.
