Back up your computer files! Especially pics of LO.

My computer died again and luckily I had backed up all of our pics after DD's birthday. I think I can still save the pics from Jan - March, but it's going to be several hours of work on my part. We ordered a new computer and I am going to start backing it up on an external hard drive every other weekend just to be safe.

Yikes.  I think my H has our photos backed up....I know I have most of her first year pics uploaded to Shutterfly.  Hope you are able to recover them!!

Try using a sharing app like dropbox.  You just set it up and it'll automatically 'share' things between your devices so if your phone blows up your pics are on your desktop and vice versa.  You just tell your dropbox to automatically upload anything you put in X Y Z folder and you don't even have to think about it.

We use it to share photos with my parents & the ILs.

I have an external hard drive, but I do need to connect it again and update the newest pics. I was SO glad that when my phone dropped in the toilet, the memory card was good so I could keep all those pics that were in there.

It doesn't take all the photos from your hard drive.  I take everything off my camera into a specific folder which isn't shared out, and then move things to others for organization and naked baby butt purposes.

I have an external hard drive that backs-up every day. Also at the end of each month I upload all my pictures to my snapfish account. 

I would die if anything happened to my pictures and videos of the kids, DIE!

About once a month I back up pictures on an external hard drive.  I keep it in my fire-proof box the rest of the time.  I also have a lot of my newer pics uploaded on shutterfly.  I want a photo scanner so I can scan all of Justin's baby pics.  I got my first digital camera when he was around 3 yrs old - it was a Sony Mavica that used the floppy discs.  I backed all of those up to CD's years ago because I knew that floppys were becoming obsolete.
