I remember you saying in your FFFC that you were sad about Abbey not wanting to cuddle and feeling like it was your fault because you sleep trained, right? I just thought of you because I got Q's 9 month newsletter from Kaiser this morning. One of the milestones for 9-10 months is: "less interested in being held and more interested in exploring on the floor." I know you got a lot of responses from people saying that their LOs are doing the same thing and that it's totally normal. Just wanted to confirm...not only is it normal, but it seems it's a milestone!

That being said, I also feel a twinge of sadness when he wiggles out of my arms. I loved the newborn cuddly stage...but like you said, I'm loving this exploratory, curious stage, too. Anyway...just thought I'd share. :)

  • Aww thank you for sharing that.  It's bittersweet, isn't it?  I guess I just felt it was related to the sleep training since it all happened around that time (she was 6 months)...but in hindsight that is also when she started to crawl so it makes perfect sense.

Thanks again for reminding me to not worry so much Stick out tongue
