My pedi said it would be ok to start mixing with BM around 11 months so that we are not going cold turkey at 12 months. Wondering if that was advice others had received as well.

I think we'll start at the 11 month mark. I have two cans of formula left and I'd like to stretch that at long as possible and not have to buy another can if at all possible.
I asked this specifically at her 9M appointment because I wasn't sure if this was something we should be starting before they saw DD again. I was told there is no exact start date but they highly recommend it being after the 12M appointment. She said some babies do fine going cold turkey while others will prefer to slowly wean by mixing. I am going to wait until after 1 year and go slowly. I don't think it has to be 1 year and no more BM/formula that day. In the meantime, our plan is to wean from bottle to sippy completely by then.
We'll start after his 12 month appt. We talked about our options at his 9 month appt (since he'll be doing soy or almond milk rather than wcm), but she made it sound like we'd cross that bridge after 12 months, so we're going to wait until then.
I'm not sure. DS has a dairy intolerance. It has been getting better to the point that I have started eating some dairy, but that is me eating and digesting it. I am very curious to see what our pedi will recommend (we go in tmw). I'm fine with whatever, I just want to have a plan.
We haven't really discussed it with him - I had asked at our last appointment if there was any reason why we had to start giving NIkolai WCM at 12 months and he said no, we can stick with BM if we want. Since I don't really pump, we'll probably give him some in a sippy around 12 months but I feel no driving need to push it on him. If he drinks it, fine, if not, that's fine too as long as he's still nursing enough. The pedi didn't say anything about starting early but knowing him, I'd say he would be fine with a little bit here and there a month or so early.

I have a ton of frozen BM set aside. I'll start using that in lieu of pumping/BFing during the day after she turns 1, and when I run out of that, I'll introduce WCM. With DS, that didn't happen until 13 months, but I have more milk frozen this time. I'm in no hurry.
We had DD's 9 month appointment last week. We did not discuss the transition, but we need to have allergy testing first to see if she really has a milk allergy or if not. I'm going back in April for another weight check and discuss DDs growth so we'll probably talk about our options then. Insurance pays for our Alimentum but only until she turns 1, so we'll need an alternative, it's too expensive to have to do it for much longer then one.
Since my boobs have surrendered, we will be transitioning as soon as the Pedi gives the ok. Probably after her 12 month appt. Id like to sooner but I've heard babies can become anemic without the added iron in formula. I just hate spending so much on formula!

My pedi said about 2 weeks before was OK to start mixing if I didn't want to go cold turkey or I could wait until after our 12month apt (a few days after her bday) too.
We have always done 12 months, cold turkey, in a sippy. It's worked for us so far (we haven't had any dairy issues). I've been looking into the almond milk alternative, but since it is very low in fat I'm having a hard time coming up with a good "fatty diet" alternative.
We're doing Extended BF but I think I'll stop pumping if I'm not here for a feeding at a year and give her goats milk, it's better on our digestive systems. But seeing as I'm hardly ever away from her long enough to need it I probably won't do that much.
Our pedi said the same thing as yours. I actually have to leave the week before he turns one for a class and we were glad to hear that since we do not have that much BM in freezer.
