Bubbly- you around? Benadryl question

My pediatrician's office is closed today or I would just call and ask them.  My 2.5 yr old's got itchy watery like eyes (wondering if allergies are getting to him) and I was going to give him some benadryl, however I'm not sure how much to give him.  He weighs 33-34 pounds.. I think last year my pediatrician told me to give him 1/4tsp, but not sure.

Not a medical person, but we were told by her pedi and allergist to give 1 tsp and she weighs 34 lbs.

I gave my (4 yr old, 34 lbs) daughter 1 tsp last night.  

It was the children's Benedryl if that matters.
