So back story...I went to a wedding last night. Everyone was doing this dance when a certain song came on. You know, like the Macarana or Cupid Shuffle. Like...everyone.

I on the other hand was like "WTF is this and how did I miss it??" Now I feel ancient.

So have you seen "the wobble"?

I looked back at a girl I went to high school with. I consider her pretty hip and honestly, I thought I was aware of all the thrends too...guess not. I asked her if she knew what this dance was and she says "oh, the wobble? I know what it is but don't know it. I too am out of the loop now". She has an 18 month old so maybe thats why we are both on the same team now. lol. How did this un-cool thing happen to me!??

I work with teens and they are always educating us old people on the new dances, and doing them constantly. I have never heard of the wobble...maybe its regional? Or our clients decided we are too old to brought into the loop.

Oh wow, to be young and be so cool to get away with a dance like that.  LOL.  Hopefully the people at the wedding were better at doing that dance, but it is nothing I have ever seen and nothing I would look cool at doing!  I think we all became so uncool when we had babies.  But we have joined an even cooler club "Mom's with awesome babies club", okay so maybe it doesn't sound so cool but it is. LOL!

heck yes. I love our club. I actually met a really cool Mom last night. She is new to town. Her baby Daddy (yes I said it, she called him that. ha) is a close friend of mine and DH's from high school. She messaged me for my address today to invite us to their sons B-day party. Since she is new in town she doesn't have any friends yet. They were in the Marines together and she moved here with him when they got out. I really clicked with her. Funny what excites us now. lol

That is awesome.  I don't click with women much so when I do I get really excited about it.  I clicked with a girl from the board here, she was my labor buddy but sadly we are in different states, would love to meet her in person one day though and let our little guys play together!  I am excited for you though always nice to find another mom of the cool club

I was 'exposed' to that a few years ago at a DH family party (I think it was his cousin's daughters' party) and again at a benefit dinner/party his aunt has a part in every other year.  That said, I may have seen it but just don't ask me to do it.  I.don't.dance.  Period.

yup being a teacher means our kids can never be cooler than us, since we always know what's "in" at the moment.  That being said, I have no clue what the wobble is...but I'm still on maternity leave and haven't been around any "big kids" in over a year lol
