Babies: 6 - 9 Months

spinach-what age?

I have seen a range of 8-12 mos. of when to introduce spinach. When did you do it? I bought the frozen organic kind. I haven't made it though.

Re: spinach-what age?

  • N had some spinach around 7 months I think?  I haven't really limited what types of food he gets to particular ages.  The only things I wouldn't give him until a particular age are WCM and nuts/peanut butter and honey.

  • I did it with DS around 9 months I think?? Haven't yet with DD as her tummy has a little trouble with greens so far. It's yummy mixed with a little cheese, or plain yogurt to make it creamy.  And a little mashed potatoes to smooth it out too. Just use chopped spinach and mix it all together. :)

  • I think around 6 months.  It's an ingredient on one of my LO's earth's best stage 2 foods.  He's done fine with it and really likes it.

    Good Luck!
