Cloth Diapering

Drying PUL?

We have used the Flip covers for about 8 months now with no problems... until this weekend. Several of LOs diapers leaked :-( The rise and waist seem to be fine so I'm think that I need to toss them in the dryer but the thought of melting all of my covers has me a bit freaked out. How long should I put them in? should they go in with the inserts? in wet or dry?

I posted yesterday about the Kushies - I went back and bought 5 more - 6 diapers for $14. So not a huge loss if they don't work out too well. Thanks for the input.

Re: Drying PUL?

  • I posted below about this - I threw my Kawaii pockets in the dryer on hot for one cycle and it seems to have done the trick.  I did them straight out of the washer with the inserts.

I saw yours but wasn't sure how you did it. Thanks :-) I will give it a try

  • Don't worry about melting your pul! It was designed to be used in hospitals and can even be autoclaved. I wouldn't dry them on high all the time, but more because of the elastic.
