Rec your inexpensive umbrella stroller

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive (maybe under $100) umbrella stroller?

We are going out of town on a road trip and don't want to bring the huge Chicco Cortina. I'd also like to have something small and lightweight that I can keep in my trunk. Later this year we will probably invest in a fancy-ish jogging stroller, which is why I don't want to spend a lot on an umbrella.

Which makes me think of another question. I haven't done much research into joggers, but is it silly to have both a jogging and umbrella stroller? Hmmm... thoughts?

We have a cheap $10 that came free with our carseat from BRU and it does the job.  We also have a jogger for everyday use. The umbrella stays in my car since it doesn't take up much room but we use the jogger if are outside. My mom and FIL use the cheapie outside with no problems though too.

  • I have The First Years Jet and I really like it.  Taller handles, a nice storage basket under the stroller, and a cool cupholder/compartment thingy at the top.  It folds like an umbrella and is really light weight.

  • We have the Chicco Capri Lightweight Stroller and we love it! It fits nicely in my tiny trunk!
  • we have the Kolcraft Contours and First Years Ignite. Both are great but I prefer the Contours...the basket is bigger and more accessable. The Ignite has a better parent tray though.Contours just has a basic cup holder.
