We are finally starting to get a little sun in the PNW so I hung my prefolds to dry in the back yard. They are pretty stiff afterwards and I plan on popping them in the dryer for a quick tumble. Has anyone used dryer balls to help soften? Do they work and are they worth it? I was looking at "dryer magic" dryer balls online, but thought I'd ask on here before purchasing.
Re: Dryer balls: do they work?
Wool dryer balls worked for us. They cut our drying time down from 90 mins to ~50 (drying 20+ prefolds). We have 3 that I got off of babysteals, but one is MIA and I'm seriously upset over it! Next time they pop up on babysteals I'm buying several sets to give as gifts.
I bought mine from her as well. Super nice to deal with, great service, and quick shipping. She also sent a pack of her homemade laundry detergent with it, which inspired me to make my own.
I thought I would miss dryer sheets and only bought the balls for doing cloth diapers. I haven't even noticed the difference, and I'm loving not to have to hunt down dryer sheets in the store (the only ones I could use were the Method unscented ones, and they're really hard to find around here).
