Hey, I don't know if I have posted on this board yet....I moved over from the knot sometime last year & wandered away for a while ![]()
I would love to hear some stories from you ladies if you have experience with this... we had some frisky time CD10, I know CD 14 is ideal, but my calendar shows start of fertile days at CD11...
Has anyone got pregnant from sex on CD10?
Re: Feeling funny :) CD10 conception?
Everyone's ovulation day is different. Someone getting KU on CD10 means nothing to you.
CD14 isn't ideal. Check out the newbie link. You should be using OPKs and charting your temps if you want to figure out when you ovulate.
??
Are you charting? Using OPK's? Charting is the ONLY way to know if you have ovulated. For me, having sex on CD 10 would've done nothing for me because im now on CD 23 and still haven't ovulated.
A fertility calendar is useless.
Please read the newbie link.
YOU DONT NEED TO CHART.
AGAIN, YOU DONT NEED TO CHART.
Yes, its possible to get pg on CD 10. You just need to relax and have fun.
Oh! I know 14 isn't ideal for everyone. For the calendar I use it says ideal for me is CD14....I shouldn't have worded that as "I know CD14 is ideal", sorry about that!
Is OD-5 more specific?
CD 14 is only ideal if you ovulate on that day or the day after. I tend to ovulate on CD13, so it would be too late for me.
I agree with PP. If you are thinking about TTC (even if you don't yet want to start "actively" trying), you may want to start charting to learn about your cycle. We are each different.
The newbie link has tonnes of info, as does www.fertilityfriend.com (a great place to start charting).
Also, most of us have never been pregnant, so the 1st tri board may be a better place if you want people to tell you that they got pregnant by having sex on a specific day (yes, O-? is more useful, thanks).
Someone posted a O-? with the likelyhood of conception chart a couple of weeks/months ago, not sure where it is. I don't remember any really chance of conception before O-4 though.
No, I am not charting. DH was home for 2 weeks, we had fun & I am now trying to put the pieces together. I knew the chance was there but wasn't particularly anxious to test or even look into the odds of me being pregnant, but I noticed this unusual sort of feeling down near the lady bits, very different than PMS
I have a test I grabbed today, I plan to test closer to period. I was hoping maybe others experiences could help me better gauge the likelihood but I can see how those experiences would differ from mine...
I'll check out the newbie link, thanks!
& was that "troll" comment at me...?
The calendar you use isn't accurate, though, so you don't know that CD10 is actually O-5.
Found it, but I can't link it for some reason.
Here's the numbers it gave:
O-5 0%
O-4 13%
O-3 13%
O-2 28%
O-1 26%
O 5%
O+1 0%
I suspect (hope) the troll comment was directed at "Haley" who has been trying to stir up our boards tonight.
P.S. if someone can tell me how to make it not skip a line every time I hit return I could make this much less painful to look at. Thanks.
The calendar I use reads "CD23 0D8"....the FF one has me starting my period tomorrow where as based on knowing my cycle it's the 28th/29th so I went with the one here
No the troll comment wasn't directed at you, OP.
Charting/using OPK's maximizes you're chances at conception. Knowing when you ovulate is super helpful in planning sex.
Are you charting temps? Nothing can make an accurate guess on your O date without at the very least OPK usage, but temping is the best.
Thank you for finding that!
If you hold shift when you press enter or return it should eliminate the space.

You don't NEED to chart, but it definitely helps in figuring things out. I tried to follow this whole thread, so forgive me if I missed something, but if you aren't using OPKs or temping, you'd be hard pressed to know when you O'd or will O. You wouldn't "feel" anything different a few days after conception and just MHO, don't say "lady bits." We're all adults here - it's your vagina, vulva, uterus, etc. It would be challenging to get pregnant from 0-5 sex, but not impossible. I would encourage you to read TCOYF and get to know your body. GL!

The fact that so many women know so LITTLE about conceiving never fails to surprise me.
