Early check in before I leave town. In 4 hours I will be on a plane to Hawaii for a much needed vacation! It's only for a long weekend, but I'm hoping the sun and warmth get me in the right mental state for FET next month. Since I'm imposing a 5 day internet ban on myself while away, I wanted to get the check-in up before I left town. Hope everyone is doing well!

Update: day 3 of stims for me. No side effects as yet and love taking the Follistim, it is so much easier than the mixing of Menopur and Bravelle that I had with IVF#1. ER estimated for next weekend and ET if I get this time around first week of April.

Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p

My Update: After IVF1 ended in a c/p, I have taken up weekly acupucture, clean organic eating, daily walks or jogs, and a part-time work schedule to destress and detox...I have never felt better! I still take my prenatal, iron, extra folate, and omega 3-6-9. Microdose Lupron starts next Saturday...I am so ready to do this, again!

QOTW: Favorite vacation spot? Dream vacation spot? My favorite vacation so far was definitely my honeymoon at an all-inclusive resort in the Mayan Riviera. Dream spot for me is pretty much any tropical island- the more remote, the better!

I'm still waiting for AF to get started -- should be in the next 3-4 days. I've been having a heck of a time working the meds out with my insurance in the meantime -- my primary insurance is at its fertility med limit, but I have backup insurance through my husband's employer, too -- unfortunately, getting the two companies to communicate has been a nightmare. If I have to, I guess I'll just buy the first couple of days of stims OOP. I certainly don't want to put off my cycle over insurance idiocy.
Favorite vacation spots: Patagonia and Peru, though I love Europe, too (especially France). Dream vacation spot: There are so many. In May I'll be spending 10 days in a villa in Tuscany. That's my dream for now. ;-)

I am on Lupron now and start stims Saturday! In addition to Lupron, I will be on Menopur and Gonal-F. And I have had insurance hell all week trying to get my meds cleared and delivered. After finally convincing insurance I didn't need pre-authorization, they finally released my meds. My Lupron delivered yesterday. The Menopur and Gonal-F better show up Sat morning (my nurse gave me samples just in case). The Lupron so far has been a piece of cake to inject. I hope I don't screw up the mixing of the Menopur.

We got married there and just love the eclectic feel of the island. Dream vacation spot, not sure, there are so many! But I'd love to go somewhere like Fiji or Bora Bora.

Just waiting on AF so I can start BCPs and get my SHG and trial transfer scheduled. I also find out on Monday if we qualify for the Gonal F Compassionate Care Program where all my meds would be covered. Fx!
QOTW: Favorite vacation spot is Uruguay. Imagine walking alone in the rain (with an umbrella) down a cobblestone street with old buildings and stone structures. You can see the beach and other majestic scenery. A friendly dog is just randomly hanging out on the sidewalk. Anyway, it's nice. I'm also a fan of Vegas, but for very different reasons.

Update on me: I survived 5 days of Lurpon at 10 units. No real side effects I don't think. I had a bit if a headache today, but I think that is sinus pressure. I also took my last BCP today - yay!!! Tomorrow am, I decrease Lupron to 5 units/day.
Does anyone else have this weird fear that AF won't start on time after stopping BCP? I have not taken BCP in almost 15 years. I always have a fairly normal 28-ish day cycle. Well, I was only on BCP for 17 days so this would be a 21 day cycle. I know the drop in hormone will start AF, but it just seems weird to me. I'm a dork, I know.
I am very much looking forward to starting stims on 3/31. I am ready to see some action in there.
QOTW: My favorite vacation spots is on a cruise ship to anywhere. I spent a week at Thanksgiving in Costa Rica and it was amazing. I am ready to go back!

No update still on BCP. I have my appointment with RE on Thursday to go over my calendar and meds training. I am so excited it is finally starting.
QOTD: Favorite vacation spot is any where tropical. I especially love Antigua and Brazil and my dream vacation is France or Italy.

Update to my update: AF finally arrived on Sunday, so I had my baseline blood work and ultrasound this morning. Unless I get a call saying otherwise, I start Follistim and Menopur tonight! I'm excited -- so far the procedure is the same as my IUIs, but I know the rest of the cycle will be very different.
Roxy, LauraBeth and Mrs.Nukem, how have the stims been for you? When do you get your first ultrasound to check for follie growth? Mine is 3/31.
