So I posted the other day how drained I was bc Connor was sick. So the Mr took him to the doctor on Tuesday and they said it was just a virus and to come back in two days if he still wasn't better. On Wednesday my grandmas had him and he was refusing to eat and drink. As soon as I got outta work we went to the ER. They ran tests and did X-rays and the poor dude had pneumonia. I knew he was really sick and I told the mr that after they went to the doctor. I feel sooooo bad for Connor. We've been here since Wednesday night and have no idea when he's getting out. The nurse just told me that we are going to have to nebulize him at home. Has anyone else's LO's had pneumonia?? How long til they were back to normal?? Any use a nebulizer??

Re: Pneumonia...
Avery had a x-ray for it, but thankfully for us it was negative. Before we were sent for an x-ray they told us it would all depend on him. He may be over it in a day or two or he may have a cough for awhile.
Avery ended up with bronchilitis/bronchitis and we had to do breathing treatments at home every 4 hours for a few days and then as needed. The easiest way to do them at home was to get him distracted watching tv..It was the only way we could keep him still.
It has been about 4 weeks now and we occasionally have to do breathing treatments.
I hope Connor starts feeling better soon!
Oh no! I hope he gets better soon!
We had to use a nebulizer when DD had RSV. I was told "some kids fight it the whole time and some kids fall asleep" and we luckily had the latter, so I don't have many tips! I would sometimes read a book to her to distract her if she was awake and fussy. I remember someone else here suggesting doing the treatments with LO buckled in a car seat and that seems like a good idea if you have a fighter!
Good luck!
