I see you live in my area - I live in MD. I wondered if you used an agency and would recommend a specific one?

    We are using Children's Home Society of Virginia, but I have friends in this area who have successfully used Bethany Christian Services (https://www.bethany.org/). I also have friends who are currently working with the Barker Foundation (https://www.barkerfoundation.org/). I have heard great things about both and if our wait continues on for too long, we may send our homestudy over to both of them.

    So that you know, CHSVA wanted a letter from my therapist just confirming what I had told them - that the anti-depressant was low dose and that my mental health was good. That is fairly standard, I believe. And as long as you have a doctor/therapist who confirms, no matter the drug dosage, that you are mentally able to handle having a child in the home, you should be good to go.
