Bed Rails and Travel

I was wondering which brand of bed rails you use. My son is still in a crib, but during the summer, we will be staying at a hotel for a family reunion. They have pack and plays there, but he might be too big, and I was thinking about getting a bed rail to take with us (and then eventually use it on a big kid bed when he's ready). Any thoughts? Recommendations? Thanks!

Re: Bed Rails and Travel

  • For travelling reasons I usually take a thick blanket roll it up and put under fitted sheet.

But if your looking to buy one, I bought the babies r us brand and been pleased.

  • We use a travel cot from Regalo. It was $20-$25 on Walmart.com and folds up very compactly.
  • We have magic bumpers which are on the smaller side so they are pretty easily transported too.

  • There is something you can use instead of a rail I forget what it's called but it's basically a tube you inflate and when you are traveling this takes up a lot less space. You just pump the air in and stick it under the mattress. One step ahead has these as well as buy buy baby which is where I bought mine. We travel to Greece a lot bc that is where we have family and when my DD was 1 she did not want to sleep in the practically $300 travel crib we lugged all the way over from the US. What a waste! I wish they had these for that trip. Good luck!
