My sister's friend just found out that her twins are identical boys, and also have TTTS. She is going to be having the laser surgery. Did you have the surgery? Any advice or questions she should ask?

Re: ::Mrs. Alice::
I didn't have surgery since I was diagnosed at 22 weeks and the fluid levels improved with bed rest and boost shakes. My complication was the absent turned reverse end diastolic flow in my donor's cord and he probably had a small share of the placenta too. Lots of horizontal rest and 3 boosts/ensure a day are recommended. Wishing them a successful surgery and healthy babies. TTTS is so scary! If she hasn't already, have her contact the TTTS foundation. They have a website and a FB page where she can connect with families all over who've been through this.
