Question about 2IF

When are we considered 2IF? 

We both have confirmed disgnosises (is that a word?!) and we will be "trying" for #2 as soon as we are cleared to have sex again by the OB. Do we wait another year before we have that label & that I can post here or how does that work? I really never thought I would be able to post this kind of question because I never thought we would have a number one and ever be trying for number two...

I am not sure, but I would say either 6 months after trying on your own if you had no intervention with your first. My ds was conceived after two months with no intervention. So after six months we went on clomid and then about six months after that we went to the re.

It took us 5 1/2 years to get pg with #1

With that, I would say to see an re right away. That way you can get things going right away.  By the way, your baby is adorable

I came to this board pretty much immediately because I had TTTC DS and have a diagnosis that hasn't changed. If you know you have IF issues, are seeing a doctor for them, and you are trying for another baby, this is the board for you.

I think if you underwent IF treatments to get #1 and know that you will be facing IF treatments to conceive #2...then you will be fine posting here.

Truthfully this board is for those of us that are struggling with adding to our families and it doesn't really matter all that much where you are in that process.  Whether you are just beginning knowing it will probably be another long journey, or just been trying for 6 months or longer already.
