Thirsties and BG

Okay so I have mostly BG 4.0 (15), flips (6) and econobum (12). I bought one XS thirsties cover and am considering buying a few more. 

My question is can I use the newborn BG 4.0 insert with the XS thirsties cover for when he first comes home? Or is that not enough and should I be using something else (a prefold, etc).

If you mean the microfiber insert that comes with the BG 4.0 pocket, don't use that.  Microfiber can't be placed directly against baby's skin, it's too drying.

Exactly this. I know it's given a few kids bad "Burns".

I'd stick with a prefold.

What veruca said. You can't put microfiber directly against the skin. Anything else is safe, I believe. Generally you'll use a fitted or prefold inside a cover. Yes, you'll probably want some more if you plan to use prefolds a lot. I really like their one size duo diaper covers, too.

Okay, got it...

 One more question though...isn't the inserts for Flips microfiber? Are they a different kind of microfiber and could I use those in the thirsties?
