Another IEP ?

Girls, it seems to be that time of year.

I just started back to work so I don't know if I can make it to DS's IEP meeting in almost 2 weeks. I have not collected enough leave yet. I asked DH if he could go, but I am afraid he will have really high expectations for DS.

Can I write down DS's goals and send it with DH so they can include it in the IEP?

Would it be possible to participate by phone?  In person is really the best, but I think phone is better than nothing.

Thanks girls! I think I could ask to do my lunch hour for the first hour (my appointment is at 8:15 am. and I go in at 7:30 am.) and use very minimal sick leave. I am going to do this if they can't change my appointment.

Last year, I went by myself without DH.

I will try to see if they can schedule it after work.

They should work with your schedule. Participate by phone. If you have questions or concerns after the meeting, call them. IEPs are revised all the time. Changes can be made.
