First ever BFP

for months i've been lurking on the bump, then avoiding the bump after losing my logins, and ttc a i got a BFP!! I had the strangest dream last night and I woke up thinking I have to take a test. Clear as day on the digital test "Pregnant" I wasn't convinced till my 3rd test. I was literally shaking I woke my husband up balling like a 2 yr kid who got cake taken away. I think I was crying from joy but also the sheer shock after so many test that said Sorry Charlie not this time. Now the OMG, what the heck do I do now freak out mode has started. This is my first and I am beside myself! I feel like I had to tell someone so here I am. AHHHH

I am just 3 wks in so my ETA is 11/29/12. If this baby is going to be anything like me, they will be fashionable late and be born in Dec!

I can't wait to share the news with the fam, but the wait will be brutal. I hope to give out as much advice as I seek!

Hi there and welcome! I read your story and I could completely relate. My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years on our own and due to my fear of pumping my body with hormones, we have not done any fertility treatments. So basically I had given up on ever having a child of our own and we started planning our lives without kids and started looking into adopting a child. Until 2 week ago... I missed my period and figured it was related to stress at work but for sh*ts and giggles, I blew the dust off a pregnancy test that I had at home and it immediately showed a plus sign. I didnt believe it and chalked it up to "the test is expired and this is just a cruel joke" but 5 pregnancy tests later, I finally broke down with tears of joy. And I felt the same way as you, I just had to tell somone so I looked to the boards.

Now is the hard part though. The relentless waiting game til you can hear the baby's heartbeat and have a doctor tell you that you're "safe". I'm in the middle of that now. My due date is 11/10/2012. The November mom's groups is a great community of women if you want to join us.

Congrats! I'm in the same spot, first BFP!! I can't wait for our first appointment at 8 weeks! It can't come soon enough. I hope to have the fifth baby in my extended family this year! EDD 11/20/12
