Swing Sets

We are building right now and likely moving in October so I don't want to buy the kids a big outdoor playset until we're in the new house. But I'd like to get them a few swings to have in the yard this spring/summer. We don't have a tree that can support one of those little tikes swings.

Anyone have suggestions for a toddler swing it a-frame to put swings on that is sturdy? I'm willing/able to spend around $300.

TIA!

Re: Swing Sets

  • look on CL for something ... will save you a lot.

but i'd just wait- go to a local park to use the swings- and not waste money - and time you'll need to put together, deal with when you move, etc.

we didn't have swings in our yard until this year- we're getting a big playset now that the twins are old enough to climb up on their own.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • We have the Little Tikes Clubhouse Swingset. It was a hand me down from my sister, and runs about $500 new. We use it every single day (weather permitting) and my kids love it. They just learned how to climb up and go down the slide on their own. I think it'd be worth it to find something - parks are great but sometimes you just want to spill out the back door and let them swing in their diapers. :)

Maybe you'll have luck on craigslist?

    My sentiments exactly!
