3D/4D ultrasounds

I'm going to get a 3D/4D ultrasound at 28 weeks. Is it worth it? Once you had your baby did it resemble the 3D/4D images? Were any of you freaked out about how the images looked? I'm just not sure what to expect. I have seen what these images look like but I'd like to know from mothers and what they think.

We did it with our first and I think it's well worth it. DD still shows the same smirk she did in 4D u/s. It was just a neat experience and if you can afford it, I would say go for it! We are going at 30 weeks for ours. GL!

I think you can never have a picture the EXACT same as the actual way your baby is.  we had a 3D/4D with all our A/s - the place offers them where we go for free.  It is neat.  The baby always grows and is fatter.  lol   But worth it to go- I have to say they are a little creepy

I am glad we did it with #1. we will do it again!  It is fun to see your baby.  Yes, he did look like the pic although he held his feet up covering most of his face.

We did it with DD and will definitely be doing it with this LO. It was a great experience. I don't know that she looks like she did in the photos but we honestly did ours too early with her. We did it at about 24 weeks and the u/s tech said that the best photos come 28 weeks and later.

We had a 3D/4D done at our anatomy scan for our son at 18 weeks. He looks like a really adorable alien. I think it looks like him, but the 30 week one will be adorable sine they will have time to put weight on by then.

I did it at 34 weeks with my daughter and it was CRAZY how much she ended up looking like the pictures! Big lips, chubby cheeks and a dimple! It wasn't freaky at all, but I was pretty far along. The placenta was kind of in the way, so I didn't get the best shots. You get what you get though. It's definitely worth it!

With my first we had one done at 30wks. I am still amazed at how much the picture looked like him! This time around, we already did our so my DF could be here when we found out the sex. Its crazy how much this LO looks like his brother already. I am hoping to do another one when we are further along. I love seeing their smushed little faces and being able to compare them later! Here is Mathieu's 3d u/s picture along with a 2d one that really showed the similarities lol!

Im going in at 32 weeks since the tech said that anytime after 30 wks is the best time because baby is cute and chubby..I can't wait to see her!

i went at 26 weeks and i LOVED it. he was perfect and beautiful and it was very clear. and yes, he does look just like he did on his ultrasound video.

DH & I both are really freaked out by some of the 3/4D U/S images we've seen.  I didn't do it with DD due to money and this time around I won't be doing it because the images just creep the hell out of me.

Last time around a woman had her LOs scan as a sig and LO had its eyes open.  It's burnt into my brain over 2 years later and it really turned me off from getting one.
