I am happy to report that my many hours of research has paid off, and cloth diapering is working perfectly for us. My baby is just under 8 lbs and 11 days old and has worn prefolds with Snappis and covers exclusively since getting home from the hospital. We have had no leaks at all. The covers are Thirsties Duos (size 1), Pro-wraps and Bummis (newborn size). The prefolds are Osocozy newborn with the purple edge, and with the yellow edge (slightly different dimensions, same size), plus 6 orange-edge workhorse fitteds. Our wipes are two-ply cotton flannel from Etsy. My husband has taken right to it, and my parents are impressed at how far cloth diapers have come since they used them for 3 kids in the 80s. We've been doing laundry every day since she's using 15-18 diapers a day, but we've never gotten too close to running out. Anyway, I am just relieved and grateful to be having such success! I had really hoped CDing would work, and it does!
Re: cloth diapers actually work great!
I am glad things are going well for you! Congrats on your LO.
(and yes, they work- hence the lovely ladies on this board)
I'm glad everything is working out for you so great! I just started a friend of mine on CD's with her daughter. She's using prefolds as well, and as of last night she's doing great as well.
I like to hear everything going smoothly!
