Hooray! First good run since BFP

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and have not had a single run since conceiving that didn't seem torturous. I ran 5 miles last night, got in the groove within minutes, and didn't pay attention to my pace at all. I only almost puked one time! It took me almost an entire hour, but what the heck, it felt GREAT. Thank the Lord, because I was going insane! Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I will be trying an 8 miler in a few days. Perhaps the half marathon isnt out of the question after all. So happy!

Awesome!  I ran a marathon at 8 weeks with my first so it can be done!  I ran through both pregnancies and it makes getting back into it so easy -- good luck and congrats!

I am sure you can manage the half marathon!  Just run by how you feel and take walk breaks when needed.  make sure you hydrate too!!!

I also ran a full marathon at 8 weeks, I'm now 18 weeks and training for another marathon that will be at 22 weeks.  My pace is just MUCH slower, but I feel great!

Congrats on the great run!  I'm currently TTC, but also training for Grandma's marathon in June.
