I'm due the end of Sept with our 2nd LO. I've been debating between getting a wagon vs a double stroller to haul the kiddos around. Right now with 1 LO I rarely use a stroller, mostly for walks around our neighborhood.
Do any of you use a wagon to haul your LO's around? Do you have a double stroller too?

Re: Wagon vs. Double Stroller
We have both. DD2 is 6 months and sits well assisted and briefly unassisted, but I would not put her in the wagon at this point. Ours is a Step 2 wagon with seat belts, but even buckled in I just don't feel like there is enough support for her. Maybe by the time summer really starts I'll feel differently, but for now I'd rather have her in a stroller.
I also like having my double stroller for places I couldn't take the wagon - stores that don't have regular carts, the doctor's office, library. We've used the double a lot more than I thought we would based on our single stroller use with DD1.

We have a radio wagon but we only use it to get to our neighborhood pool. It's a not easy to pull both kids in and gets heavy easily. Plus you can't put the younger one in until they can sit up. We have a double one and there is no room for an infant carseat to fit down in it.
We have a city select and double bob but we got both right before DS2 came and my boys are only 15 months apart. I needed a double stroller and now that I'm having #3 we will continue to use both. I use the double bob to run, for the zoo and when we go to disney world a few times a year. I use the CS for everything else. I love that it's a single or double which is great now that DS1 likes to walk except when going into doctor offices.
I used a wagon a bit last year at the end of summer when DD was around 7 months old. Even though she had been sitting well and it had a seatbelt, I wasnt comfortable leaving her in there for very long. I'm guessing it will be a lot of fun this summer as the kids will be 1.5/2.5.
I liked having both a double and a wagon personally. I also agree that I wouldnt want to use a wagon for long walks/long trips to the zoo, but it's fun to have for short periods of time.
We only use our wagon for things like parades or evening strolls (like, a 10-20 minute stroll, not a walk where we go several miles). I feel like wagons are more "for fun" while strollers are more functional. My kids LOVE the wagon - but it just isn't practical for most outings.
To answer your question, I could have never gotten away with just a wagon. I have a BOB Duallie for running and outdoors and a BJCS for everything else.

No more TTC for us. We are done, and at peace, as a family of 4.

I agree about the wagon being only for shorter distances and not until baby is older. We didn't start putting our son in the wagon until he was 10 or 11 months old. He LOVES the wagon, but it's only comfortable to pull for 10-15 minutes at the most.
Like pp said, for longer walks, we use the stroller. I'm getting the Baby Trend Double Stroller Sit n Stand for when baby #2 comes. It should be here tomorrow
I don't have a wagon but I just love our double stroller. You can strap them in, there are snack/sippy holders. There's a spot to attach the diaper bag. There's additional storage underneath. You can snap the carseat onto the stroller.
I feel like a wagon would be so unsafe. Even now, with a 2.5 and 1 year old, I would not trust them in the wagon. DD would stand. DS would fall over. etc etc etc
We have the wagon and no double stroller. I rarely used the stroller with DD1 either, so I didn't feel the need for a double. I work, and I was rarely out with both of them. Early on we used a snap-n-go or babywear for DS and stroller for DD, then we moved them both to the wagon when DS was around 9 months. It has worked out really well.
We've used the wagon to walk around the neighborhood, to the park, at zoo, the fair and festivals. The kids love it! We don't take them to the mall and just use the grocery cart at Target and places like that.
Downsides-- hard for them to nap in it and no sun protection and can be difficult to push/pull long distances.
If you are SAHM and go out a lot, I'd probably do double stroller. Otherwise, wagon might be a good choice.
But if you are doing the double, do it NOW. I kind of wanted one a year ago, but I knew it wouldn't get much use, so I held out. But if I had it on day 1, I would have probably used it a ton.
