need advice..

hi, I just got a BFP of Tuesday, my first will be 1 in a few days (mar. 29).  How should I prepare DS for the arrival of a new baby.  I know I still have a lot of time, but sometimes ds has a hard time when I hold my 2 month old neice.  so I just need advice about preparing him to be a big brother and not jealous.

The reaction my son had when I held other babies compared to his sister was totally different. He was also jealous around other babies but not so much when I brought home DD.

I would buy a book about being a big brother and read it to him often. While he's too young to really get it now, in 8 months he will be a totally different kid. When you do bring the baby home, try to give him as much attention as possible when the baby sleeps. When the baby is awake and needs to be tended to whether it's a bottle or a diaper, let him be involved. DS used to love helping me burp DD during a feeding or just sitting in the rocker and reading a book while I fed DD at the same time.
