summertime swaddling

My 3 month old DS still gets swaddled for naps and bedtime because he'll smack himself in the face and wake himself up every few minutes.  I was using large cotton swaddles but with the multiple layers and the weather warming up he gets very warm.

Can anyone recommend their thinner, breathable swaddles?

DD was born mid summer so we were swaddling for the first month. I just cut an old cotton bed sheet and she was fine with just a diaper underneath

My twins were born in August with very hot weather in CA. We just didn't run the air conditioner a ton (kept the house around 78-80 degrees), left the kids in just diapers and used the gauze type Aiden and Anais blankets to wrap them. They never appeared too warm and they were snuggled together a lot of the time too.

I agree with the rec for aden and anais blankets, they are nice and light and breathable.

I agree with the aden and anais blankets and just a diaper. Clothing is overrated during summertime.

We love the SwaddleMe muslin blankets! They are lightweight and we use just a onesie underneath usually (we're in FL so its already like summer here, lol)

Aden & Anais swaddle + diaper here, too!  We have a/c but keep it set at ~80.  Even so, DS was comfy with that and his ceiling fan running.
