I currently own FOUR nursery bedding sets.

OMG.  I need to STOP.

Long story short, we ordered a set, painted the nursery a shade of blue to match and then discovered it was significantly flawed throughout several of the coordinating prints (like, blobs of color missing) when we put it in the crib.  Since it was on more than one of the fabrics, we didn't want to risk ordering another since there was a high likelihood of having flaws in a replacement.

SO, we ordered another set that was similar, but nicer quality.  We liked it a lot better, but it didn't match the blue we'd painted.  It clashed pretty bad.

I was in BRU yesterday and found another set that I didn't love, but thought the blue might work and could settle with it.  No cigar.

And, I have yet ANOTHER set on the way...but I bought an accessory BRU had in-store to see if it would match the blue and it doesn't either.  It's the one I originally wanted, though, and H wanted something cheaper...but now he likes it the best, too.

So, H is repainting.  I'm thinking we'll go with a neutral this time...any suggestions on a color?  I'm thinking a warm beige??

    wow....that's a little much.  and you have 9 more weeks to go?  you are going to end up with 10 sets.  Indifferent

    I can see maybe having 2 different sets in case you might want to change the look of the nursery every once in a while.  But 4+ sets is Way over the top!

    I had one gown, TYVM.

    I'm returning three of them tomorrow.  We're keeping the last one.  I'm hoping the actual bedding miraculously matches the paint (or goes well enough).  If not, we'll repaint.  H doesn't mind because he doesn't want to reorder the first and have it be crappy again.

    Why does the bedding need to match the paint to an exact T??

    Its bedding it is going to change.

    fwiw, i like the last set the best by far! ?i would suggest a neutral taupe if the blue doesn't work. ?

    I have this bedding too and I love it!!

    We painted our nursery "Versatile Gray" (SW6072) from Sherwin Williams which to me matches the light taupe stripe in that bedding perfectly. Then we are doing  thin but varying stripes in "Marquis Orange" (SW6650) and a Brown that is yet to be selected on one wall.

    We tried doing the Versatile Gray WITH "Soar" (SW6799) but the blue made the taupe seem "purple-ish".

     It is not done yet but I will post pics as I hope to have it done this weekend!
