Are you already pregnant or just hoping that clomid will give you a higher chance of multiples? I think your ticker still says you're mid cycle.
I took clomid for two cycles w/ IUI and didn't get pregnant at all.
Multiples pregnancies and having multiples isn't as glamorous as it may initially seem.
ETA-progesterone can be an indicator of multiples....GL-
I'm not hoping that Clomid will give me a higher chance of multiples - I'm hoping Clomid will help get me pregnant. If I have multiples, that is fine with me and I'll be the one to decide how glamorous or unglamorous it is if that time comes. Thanks for making me feel a little bit lower today.

not at my intention at all...hope your day gets better. We get lots of "did you know it was twins" before the bfp questions and responses are not usually kind. I wasn't trying to be mean or make your day terrible. I said GL to you and meant it. Did you get your progesterone drawn? As I said, that could be indicative of multiples. I hope you get you BFP...it's so hard waiting and not knowing.

I highly doubt she was going for "making you feel a little lower." It
just gets a little old on this board when people are coming on here all
the time wishing for twins. So I'm betting she was just asking, trying
to figure our your intentions, and "if necessary," attempt to try and
talk some sense into a person who may not realize the risks, potential
problems, and costs of twins. Just my two cents...
ETA: Oh, I guess you answered her already. Ha.

multiples with clomid isnt that common. in fact when it happened for me the OBs and my RE's partners and the MFMs were like "IVF?" i said "nope clomid", and they were like "huh, wow, okay.".
but yes, i did 100mg and had 2 mature folllicles. the cycle before that i did 50mg clomid had 3 mature follicles and had a chemical.
hcg numbers dont matter either. mine were on the "lower" end actually. ive heard differing things about the progesterone....but P4 was high..it was 28.5 at 7dpo and then 42 at 14dpo.
1st cycle of 50mg Clomid - didn't do ultrasound to see how many follies I had, didn't get trigger shot...I wasn't ovulating, so we did one round to see if it would help me ovulate at the right time in my cycle.
As far as multiples with Clomid - I have several friends who used Clomid (a few even had a higher dose) and had singletons. In fact, when we found out it was twins - I asked OB if it was because of the Clomid, he said more than likely not...that if I was going to ovulate two eggs, I would have done so regardless of Clomid...
After dealing with IF issues, I get that you want a BFP, but like all PPs have said, it's not easy. It is without a doubt, the HARDEST thing I've ever done (babies, finances, marriage - it puts a strain on EVERY aspect of your life) I've said it many times, I LOVE BOTH of my babies, but would love to have had them as singletons...
Good luck getting your BFP...
Edit: As far as HCG levels - not a good indicator. Mine was only 54 - I think this was at 14 DPO (I think)...it was so low that the nurse called back telling me that I needed to schedule a viability u/s because my numbers were sooo low, they didn't even think my pregnancy would stick! So...you can't go by HCG numbers...

How many follicles were mature on the ultrasound? It's also my understanding that the Progesterone # 7dpo would only indicate a strong ovulation, not anything regarding pregnancy (or lack there of!).

Interesting! I've never heard that. Good luck to you, OP! If you do end up with multiples, we're happy to have you over here.
Married since June 2010
TTC #1 since 04/2011
3 abnormal PAPs and 2 colpo/biopsy since 09/2009
LEEP 05/2011
ASCUS PAP 08/2011 which means no PAP for 6 months!! YAY!!
BFP 11/6/11!! EDD: 7/15/12
1st u/s 11/21/11: TWINS!
16 wks 1/30/12: BOY and GIRL!
Schedualed c-section for 7/2/12 38wks 1day
Went into labor 6/25/12 37wks 1day. Delivered two healthy babies
I was on Clomid for 2 cycles (one TI=1 follie and the other IUI;=2 follies) and both BFN. Tried again with Clomid and injectables (5 follies) and STILL BFN!
I think a lot of people have the misconception that Clomid is a "miracle pill" and will get you pregnant. Obviously, for some it works, others it doesn't.
I hope you get your BFP! If not this cycle...SOON!

asking on a multiples board gives you a very off % of it happening.... ask on SAIF and you'll see tons of women get pg with clomid and have one baby. MANY more than have multiples.
I got pg with my singleton and my twins both with 100mg clomid + met + IUI/trigger. I had one follie when i got pg with my singleton - and had 2 follies when i got pg with my twins.
I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
When we went in for ultrasound monitoring, they said I wasn't going to ovulate that month. Missed my period, got a positive pregnancy test. Then when we went for the ultrasound eight weeks later, we found the twins. Best of luck to you.
I did many clomid cycles and went up to 150mg and never got a BFP. I never had more than 1 mature follie until the last cycle I did with injects, and bam.
Re: Multiples with Clomid?
Mine was 50.
Up to 10% chance of twins, 1% trips.
Good luck for a BFP

Same. We knew it was a high possibility because our ultrasound showed two lead follies.
Good Luck.

We were initially expecting triplets from Clomid.

This exactly! If you end up with "wombmates" do come back, this place is full of good advice!
