any moms go into labor and have no "labor symptoms"?

with my first son born at 38 weeks I had all the "symptoms" I was 2 centimeters 80 percent effaced..back pain, lost my mucus plug ..(I know tmi), bowel movements like crazy (i know tmi again)!..cramps etc etc...this pregnancy ...nothing!!!! I am 1 centimeter and have had a few cramps here and there but thats it and its mostly after an internal so I think its more from that. SOOOO is there any hope for me? or am I doomed for the over due baby and induction road!? any similar positive stories?

I was 1 cm and crampy after checks for 2 weeks.  Then, 5 days after my due date, I had some bleeding and menstrual-like cramps, nothing terrible and nothing timeable.  I left work at 4 that day, went home and ate dinner, then convinced my husband we needed to go into L&D because the bleeding was freaking me out.  I was 6 cm dilated.

With DS I had nothing. I went to the doc that day and I was 1 cm. i was nit having any contractions or Bh nothing that night I was sitting on my bed patting the cat and next thing I know My water broke and all hell broke out at that point

My second baby was born a few hours after I first noticed symptoms (frequent bathroom trips were my sypmtoms).  Fast, easy delivery at 39w1d.

2nd time around is often faster and easier.

I had no idea I was in labor until my water broke.  I'd been 3cm dilated for a week or so.  That day I had some BH and some mild cramps, both normal for me at that point (39w3d) but nothing timeable.  We got to the hospital an hour after my water broke and I was dilated to 8cm and 100% effaced.  My cramps ( contractions) had just started to hurt about 20 min prior to getting to the hospital and didn't get regular until after my water broke.

I had BH contractions for months... and the day before DS come I had a few more than usual, but other than that I didn't have any warnings.  No lightening, no mucus plug, no dilation, etc.  I was at work and my water broke out of the blue.  It took another 10 hours for contractions to start.

I had nothing until I started having contractions a week after my due date.  And I mean NOTHING! I wasn't even dilated.

i went in for my 36 week checkup on a Wed. I was 4cm dilated and had no idea. I started having mild contractions (felt like period cramps) that night, but they weren't regular or very timeable (I figured they were BH, not the real thing), but I went to my doctor (not to the hospital) the next morning at 11:00 am just to get checked again and make sure nothing had changed. I was 7cm!!!!!! I was admitted to L&D immediately and had my baby boy 8 hours later...4 weeks early! Talk about a suprise!

No symptoms for me!  I was only 34 weeks tho.  I did  lost my mucous plug about 2 days prior, but other than that I had no symptoms...just my water breaking!

I really didn't have any.  I got home from work and my water broke. (I had lost mucus plug because I had my membranes stripped).  I knew I was about 2cm and 30% effaced at the time but nothing else that was out of the ordinary.  I didn't even start contractions until they put me on pitocin the next morning.

I had false labor pains through my last 4 or 5 weeks of pregnancy (and absolutely no other labor signs)... the day I went into labor I was having them but they were less painful than some of the false labor I had earlier. Other than those small contractions, I had no other labor signs. In fact, when I went in for my 39 week appointment, my midwife told me I was 7 cm, 80% effaced and needed to go to the hospital. None of the nurses there believed I was in labor (and neither did I!). Of course, they broke my water and then it was game on, for-real labor. So very possible to go into labor without symptoms!

I was induced but when I went into be induced, I found out I was already in early labor. I had no idea.

I was 4 cm at my 38 week appointment.  Never felt a contraction or BH to get there.  Though I was crampy after that appointment and check.  That weekend I woke up at midnight with 1 contraction.  Went back to sleep and woke up at 1am with them about 7 minutes apart.  We left for the hospital at 3am when they were 5 minutes apart, got there at 4am and they were 3 minutes apart.  By the time I was admitted and moved to my room it was 5am, they were 1 minute apart and I was 6 cm.  DD was born at 8pm.

I had no labor symptoms until I was almost at 7 cm. I had no contractions and my water didn't break, I lost my mucous plug the week prior. Other than that, I had no idea.
