XP Monitoring Appt Update for CD12

So not much progress...it may be too early to tell now at CD12 but I wouldnt be surprised if this cycle fails or is cancelled.

CD10, I had 4 mm uterine lining and 5 follicles with the largest measuring slightly under 10 mm.  The other ones were 8 mm or below.

CD12, My lining is still only 5.4 mm and the largest follicle is only 10.5 mm.  I had 2 at 8 mm and another 1 at 9 mm.  The other few were too small.  Estradiol was only 195.

I'm thinking chances for this cycle are slim.  I have insurance coverage right now (but paying an OOP premium for the insurance so trust me, this isn't "free" coverage at the moment and will cancel once I get a BFP...) and if this cycle fails, I'm thinking about injectables for the next cycle.  I don't want to "waste" another month just going up to 100 mg of Clomid.  Ultimately it's my RE"s call as I trust his recommendation, but I can't help but wanting to go more aggressive if I need to.

Any other ladies have a cycle that started out suck and wound up successful?  Looking for some hope.

Re: XP Monitoring Appt Update for CD12

  • Im sorry to hear that... i would ask about Femara  instead of Clomid, if your not totally into the injectables yet... your lining seems to be affected by it... that wont happen with Femara...

i dont have any experience with those numbers, but good luck!

  • Thanks for the response...I am open to injectables (I mean, I know it's not FUN but I'll do what it takes if it increases our chances)...but we'll see what my RE says.

crazy, but i actually find having to take pills annoying... id rather everything be injectable... lol

i was up to about 9 pills a day so the less i have to take the better.

I've heard this too. If you RE is open to Femara, it might be worth a try. GOOD LUCK
