Two Under 2

Light weight double stroller

Ladies,

I have a newborn and a almost 2 year old. I have a small car, 2 door honda civic. A normal double stroller that is front and back or a normal size side by side is too big to fit in my trunk.

I normally don't go out without some other adult with me and can make it work with only 1 stroller for the infant and putting the toddler in a cart when we go out (target, walmart and even kohls has those seats that is with their carts)

But if DH and I want to take a day trip to disney or if I need to go out with them both by myself I don't have a stroller that I can put them both in.

I was looking at the following light weight strollers:

Product Details

Combi Twin Sport Stroller

This one folds down pretty small. I am not sure if it would fit but I think it would. This reclines all the way back and would be great for my infant now.

and this one

Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum

Graco Twin IPO Stroller

This one reclines to a 45 degree angle so I can't use it yet until he is a bit older.

Of couse the graco one folds up smaller and is 100 dollars cheaper.

Does anyone have either one? What do you think of yours?

I am not sure which one...please help

We have two. One is Jeep brand, the other is a Dream on Me. The Dream on Me has a five-point harness like their carseats do, so that's better for babies who aren't sitting up.

  • If I planned to use it minimally (sounds like it's the case) I would opt for the cheaper one.  Also, I find the recline to be a BIG plus.

In the meantime, have you considered wearing your NB while you shop when alone w/ the kids?  That's what I plan on doing.  Also if you aren't doing a big shopping trip, you can put your 2 yo in the cart seat and your NB (in the infant seat) in the actual cart - which is recommended any how.

Actually it is not recommended to put an infant seat in the cart at all. While it is the safer option (as opposed to resting on top) it's not advisable

If you don't plan on using it much go for cheaper.

  • I also have a compact car and the combi twin sport and LOVE it. It fits great in the trunk and leaves space for other things.

I don't see where you're finding the graco one for $100 cheaper. The graco one is $165 on amazon and I found the combi one here for $30 more with free shipping-

  • Hated the combi. You get what you pay for.

  •  Have the single combo and it's a great stroller for a quick trip. It folds down like an umbrella stroller so I'm sure the double would fit. I vote for that one, my huge 2 1/2 yr old can fit comfortably still.
