I'm going to wear pants and a top but wondering what top everyone thought would be best...solid or print...fitted or loose? I'm really interested in lots of belly shots (clothed) with my DS/DD in the pics..TIA
May you always have in your arms the one who is in your heart.
I have a photography buisness on the side and I would suggest wearing a solid color top , and a tighter fitting top so that you can see your bump. Sometimes the loser fitting tops are not as flattering. I think if you have your kids in the photos if they have on patterned shirts that coordinate with you that would be ok. Just my opinon! Good Luck finding an outfit , make it fun

Fitted, and avoid dark colors like black (good lighting and a pose could make the black work, otherwise it could just make you look fat). Have your SO wear a complimentary color, not match. So if you pick a dress with a couple different colors (or wear different colored accessories), I would pick a color out of it, but not the color you are wearing.
personally i LOVE when i see pictures of the mama to be in a tight tee and cardigan.. some even put a small belt at the top to show definition of the belly...
I would do fitted. Buttons down works too so you can open - revealing belly. i would only do solid DONT do print gets too distracting. every photographer says solid. blacks or whites. jeans and white looks good no shoes or socks- just bare foot.
Or black tops with jeans and do everyone same. i dont agree with pp No black- you can always do a white backdrop. Plus bring a few options as in case you dont like what your wearing how it was photographed- you ahve a few options. a cardigain - pre- pregnancy is cute too - I did that with my last pregnancy pics - and then it was shorter with my belly
Bring a few options and have your photographer decide what she thinks would be best for the shoot. Or ask your photographer for a quick wardrobe consultation. Only your photographer can tell you what is going to work best for what they are wanting to shoot. Good luck!

This time 100. I'm a photographer and highly recommend you sending a quick note to ask yours for advice.
I tend to recommend pattern and texture with belts to lend towards belly definition - but everyone is different.
I am a semi-pro photographer, and in my opinion I recommend you wear the fitted top, like others have said it shows off your bump better. Solid or print doesn't matter too much. But I second (or third I guess) asking your photographer. They will have a better idea of the type of photos they will be taking and the location you will be taking them, those things factor in to what would look best also. Another thing to think about is to make sure you are comfortable! The pictures will have a more natural feel if you aren't worrying about your clothes in the back of your mind or always having to adjust something (a shirt falling down too low, or riding up for example).
And I know you said you want them clothed and this may sound weird but I actually think it looks best if you are going do a bare belly shot to do your non-maternity jeans unbuttoned as opposed to wearing maternity jeans.
