Water leaking question

When your water leaks-is it truly obvious? The reason I ask is this am I got up to pee, and then a second after felt trickling. I went back into the bathroom and there was some blood on my liner (likely still coming from my sweep the other day), and then more of a mucus white in the toilet. It could of been a tablespoon leak and I was unable to control it. I lost my mucus plug already so perhaps it is just more discharge then usual.

Im GBS+ so want to hear from others what to look out for-all my dr said is it would be obvious, and Im sure my water breaking would-but would a leak?

During my last pregnancy I lost my MP and started leaking fluid slowly right after.  You will notice it flowing after you stand from a seated position.  I would keep an eye on it and call your doc if it continues.

It sounds like it could be water leaking.  I leaked with my last pregnancy.  Stand in bathroom with no pants/undies and try to cough and see if you see another trickle - then you will know for sure.  Good luck!

I had no idea that I was leaking until I went for an ultrasound the day before my schedule induction and I only had half the amount of fluid I should've had! We still don't know what caused the leak, but are lucky DD was okay (I ended up with an urgent c/s the next day).

If you are concerned, go to L&D and have them test it.

Mine was obvious.  It felt like when your period starts, and it was always after I stood up from standing.  Sometimes I could feel it just walking around.  I say now that it was obvious, but looking back, I was a little confused.  I knew it felt different than just when there was discharge, so I called.  Good luck!

It could be leaking and it could be a sign that your water will break.  With my DS, I felt I was leaking fluid when I woke up in the morning so I scheduled an apt. with my OB.  I tested negative for amniotic fluid, but she sent me to L&D anyway for a more sensitive test.  After being there for a few hours strapped to monitors, I was negative again and they sent me home.  On the way out....I felt more leaking, put a heavy liner on and in the car it completly burst and I had to sit on a spare pair of pants to prevent my car seat from getting all wet!  Needless to say, that was the beginning of it!  I was later induced that day and DS was born the next day!
