Brother for Elliot?

DS is Elliot and we're thinking of names for DS2.  Right now I like Oliver and DH likes Miles.  I like Miles too, but my only hang up with it is the plural version.  It'll always sound funny to me to hear/say Miles'.  Miles' toys, Miles' party, Miles' room... I don't know, it just doesn't sit well.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

thats funny i LOVE the name Miles (dh vetoed it) and i never even thought about it being plural! if that will annoy you i wouldnt use it!

Miles was our boy name and a small part of me knew I would be annoyed with the S on the end.  :-) 

I was going to make a scrapbook and title it MILESTONES and record all his firsts.  Cheesy. 

Our friends have an Elliott....and just had an Oliver.  So those names definitely go together!

I like Oliver and Miles but I can see how the S thing would get kind of annoying. I would lean toward Oliver. Plus I think Elliot and Oliver sounds adorable together. There is kind of a similar sound in there without being matchy.

You could always go with Milo instead of Miles, which I think goes with Elliot better. Elliott and Oliver is a great sib set though, and that's what I would choose.

I like either name with Elliot. I love Miles and you could use Milo, as PP suggested - either as the full name or as a NN (either way the s will bother you less). Oliver is really nice with Elliot too... so you can't go wrong

Oliver works so well with Elliot.  I agree with you and everyone else that Miles could be tricky and become frustrating.  Great names though!

Oliver does go well, but I will also throw Reid into the mix. I do like Miles though, if you can get past the plural thing.

Not trying to takeover the post, but I just wanted to tell you congratulations on your pregnancy! I've been stalking your blog on and off for a while and I am genuinely so happy for you. Have a H & H 9 months!
