Trying to Get Pregnant

Wondfo question with picture

I'm only 6dpo, but being the obsessive pee-er that I am, I took a wondfo test assuming it would be negative.

Anyway, I swore that I saw the tiniest bit of a line forming, so I held it up to a still damp OPK test (to see if the line was in the right spot), and now there is a pretty obvious line. Is it possible that some of the dye wicked from the OPK onto the hcg test? Unfortunately I poured out my FMU, so I took a couple more tests (which are obv negative) but I used less concentrated urine.

I know you guys can't tell me if I'm pg or not, and I'm going to buy some non-wondfos and test again over the next couple mornings, but I thought I'd get some input from you guys. I feel like it is pretty impossible to get a + at 6dpo...

Yeah, since the line is disappearing like that I would say that's invalid.

Wait a few more days and test with an FRER.

Yeah I thought the unevenness of the line was pretty suspect.  I'm going to wait a couple days but I am sort of irritated with this manipulative little test strip! argh!

FX for you, but are you really only 6 DPO? I

Well I can't know for sure, since this is my first month temping and my chart is incomplete, but I feel pretty confident that I O'd when FF said I did - but even if it was earlier, we only had unprotected sex once this cycle, which was two days before my supposed O, so it couldn't be too far off (assuming that I got pg).

I'm just thinking that this test must be inaccurate somehow.

  • Yeah, the uneven line makes me think the test isn't accurate. I can't wait to hear how your subsequent tests turn out, though!

  • update: I tried to see if it really was the OPK wicking up by taking the negative tests and putting a damp OPK next to them (touching so the lines lined up) - and it turned them slightly positive. Mystery solved! Never touch a OPK & hcg test together!
