Okay, I haven't even had the second kid yet, but a combination of a toddler, a husband who travels for work and an exhausted lifestyle (I'm currently in a busy work time with a colleague on maternity leave), working out has not been a priority.
I can see the differences in my rear, hamstrings and back (it's so sad), but I'm having a tough time doing anything about it.
With my husband not home, I'm unable to go to the gym even if I wanted to.
Any tips on getting creative with exercising while at home?
Re: Avid exerciser to 2u2
Either gym with daycare or a BOB Duallie. I have both.
It isn't easy but I managed to run a half marathon last summer with 2u2 and a deployed husband. You can do it!!
I work out 6 days a week. Either with the kids in the BOB or at the gym. It is a rare Saturday morning that I can do longer runs alone while DH has the kids. But you need to figure out how to work out without your DH.

I dont go to a gym, but I dont have a hard time keeping in shape at all. I chase my toddler around the playground every day for an hour. Maybe when you pick up your LO from daycare, bring a snack to tide her over and take her to the park for a half hour. With daylight saving time it's now light out later. When you do this while wearing a 20lb toddler that's not a great walker yet after you have your 2nd LO, it's great for all those muscle groups.
When I worked, I lost 25lbs by walking the stairs everyday at lunch. I didnt change what I ate at all. Just walked 9 flights of stairs once at lunch. Find little ways like that to incorporate exercise into your life. If you dont work in that large a building you could go up and down the stairs a whole bunch of times. Obviously since youre pregnant you're not going to want to lose weight so adjust your calories a bit.
