How old was your DD when she started leaving ponies/barrettes in her hair?

I swear, those things don't even last 5 minutes with her and she needs them badly!  Her bangs are in her eyes and will not stay to the side anymore.

  • DD has always left things in her hair. She wil bring a clippie or a ponytail if her hair gets in her eyes.

    You are SO lucky!

  • I put bows in her hair (they stuck in with Corn syrup) from day one.  She is so used to having them in that most times she leaves them alone.  If I try to put big ones in, sometimes she'll realize they are there and she pulls them out and hands them to me.  She's 14 months old.
  • Not yet and she's 17 months.  I finally gave in around 14-15 months and took her to kids' hair.  The picture you see in my siggie - I had pushed her hair back just before.  Otherwise it would hang down to her nose and she wouldn't keep the little top ponies or the clips in.  I just had to give up but I only trimmed her bangs a little...
  • About 18 months, I think. Although we still go through a lot of bows as they end up getting tossed halfway through the grocery store sometimes.
