I had my first baby at the age of 40. I'm 41 now and she's 8 months old. I wanted to introduce myself... I'm Tina and DD is Ruby.
Here is the question - Where are all of the new mamas my age and how do I find them?! All of the women that I meet in my town who have little babies are so much younger than I am! Suggestions on where to meet more mature mamas?
I don't live in an urban area. I'm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, which is sort of an isolated region.
Thanks!
Re: Might be my first post here...
Sorry I don't have suggestions I'm on the west coast. But maybe meetup.com or your local mops group.
Welcome this is a talented well mannered non snarky (most of the time) group. Glad to have you and your little one is a cutie pie
Welcome Tina. I wish I could see your LO (stupid office computer). I hope that we will hear more from you
And the only time we are snarky is at SPAM and other snarky invaders.
Welcome - Ruby is precious indeed!
You'll have to settle for online friendship from this west-coast mama...
Welcome, and I love Ruby's picture!
I am 42 and have been a mother most of my life.
I suggest you contact your local chapter of Mothers&More. They should have some older new mothers - our chapter does.
Welcome!
This is a pretty amazing bunch of ladies.
I'm in a couple mommy groups from meetup.com and am also in a remote area (I'm in Alaska) and have found lots of older mommies.

Welcome - I can't really help with the meeting more Mom's close to your age, I think I just got really lucky. I am now 41 and my girls are 4 and 5. I happened to find a group of mom's that my kids became friends with at daycare that were all older moms but a lot of our friends also had kids later in life so we all have kids close in age, granted I am older than my DH so our friends are all 3-4 years younger than I am. My HS friends and friends from college/HS are in a different state and I have friends that have kids in HS and those that are like me with little ones. I have found that the older moms and I just tend to find each other at school events/temple, etc.
