I used to be around a lot when #2 was little and now I'm back with #3 who was supposed to be another 2u2 but she took her sweet old time and appeared 9 days late (luckily missed her sisters bday but a mere 28 hrs
)
I have to say this though.... kids 15 months apart... easy peasy. 2 years apart? much harder. I always thought of it like that but it wasn't until now that I'm walking in those shoes that my opinion solidified.
Seriously... my two year old is all over the place emotionally and literally. It was much easier when I had the first 2 and my then 15 months old just had no clue. Sure, sometimes logistics were tricky but nothing unmanageable. Having a 2.5 year old now and a 4 months old makes me wish I had gotten pregnant much sooner but the darn shot I took after I had her made my period go away for over 9 months
Anyhoo, just my 2 cents if you're here wondering if 2u2 is for your family.
Re: Haven't been here in forever :)
*holds hands over ears and yells lalalala*
If we get pregnant right away when we plan on TTC, #2 to #3 would be 27 months apart and this is not what I wanted to hear!
See, that would be different because those few extra months matter. I don't know what it is about the actual 24 months difference. It would be much easier having a newborn now because all they do in those first couple of months is sleep in a moby around here. Now that she is 4 months old she requires more attention for just about everything and so does my toddler who isn't yet 2.5 KWIM?
You'll be just fine... your toddler will be almost 3 by the time your baby is 4 months old!
Not what I wanted to hear either! I'd love to have a 4th but my body needs a break, so we were aiming for 2 years apart. With that said, I love having mine 18 months and 17 months apart.
