B is not yet 4 months old, but is measuring 26.5" inches and the seat goes up to 26".
Makes since as he was 25" at 2 months.
I thought, because he was 2 pounds below the weight limit, that we'd at least get another few weeks out of it.
But now what do we do? He's FAR too young to be in a conventional stroller and now we don't have the carrier.
It's not real convenient to strap him on all the time.
Poop.
Re: We're done with the infant carrier, now what?

Do you really use the stroller often enough for it to be a problem? I think we've only used the stroller twice with dd so far (and not in her carseat either- just in the regular stroller seat.) I'd imagine that your ds wouldn't be very far away from sitting in a stroller- no more than a month or two, no?
If the stroller seat reclines, I think that it's fine for even a newborn.
Oh, and FWIW, I've found that strapping the baby on is far less hassle then having to haul the stroller out of the trunk, unfold it, get her buckled in, etc. We have a nice, fairly compact and lightweight double stroller, but it's still a pain to haul around and folding it can really be a b!tch...
Our stroller doesn't have infant straps and it doesn't really recline.
He's 3.5 months old, so he still doesn't hold up his head too well, much less sit up, kwim?
I think maybe we'll keep the seat in the car for stroller use. And MH carries the carrier because it's easier for him. Good idea, Marce.
Me with my littlest.
The height limit is not absolute. If he has an inch of shell above his head then he's still OK in it. It's an average. But some 26" babies are all torso and some are all legs... if you've got a kid who is all legs they can be 28 or 29 inches before outgrowing the seat by height.
Check out this thread to see how to measure the one inch.

And when we moved DD into a convertible at 4 months, I kept her carrier in the car and used it on the stroller as needed until she was able to better support herself.
Just prop him in the stroller with blankets, and make the straps work as functionally as possible. Benjamin hated being full reclined as early as a couple of weeks old, and also loathed being in his baby seat, so we reclined the bugaboo to the middle level, and just had him propped in there with blankets to support his head.
